Service of Worship
January 11, 2015

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess,
for He who promised is faithful.”
Hebrews 10:23

Because of God’s faithfulness, we are people of hope.
Our hope is based on who God is – and He is completely
worthy of our trust. Praise God for His faithfulness!
And praise God for the hope that can be ours!

Welcome to Huron Shores Fellowship!
We are glad that you are here.

USHERS NEEDED – Meet Today!
We are looking to add more men or women to our usher pool! Ideally, we would like to have four ushers to pass out bulletins, assist people in finding seating and to assist in taking up the collection. If you would be willing to serve as an usher, either on a regular or fill-in basis, please attend a 10-15 minute orientation meeting after church this morning in the library, which is across from the prayer room by the south entrance. Current ushers are also asked to attend this meeting. If you would like to become an usher but can’t stay for this meeting, please contact Ron Chatfield (595-8861). Thank you in advance for responding to this need.

Winter Retreat Sign Up
It’s time for winter retreats and we’re so excited for what God will do! Sign up is now open for both Junior and Senior High retreats. Junior High will be February 20-22 (money due January 18). Senior High will be Feb 27-March 1 (money due January 25). Check out our website for more info!

Ski Trip!
On February 2, you are invited to join our church for a family ski trip. We will be going to Nub’s Nob for an afternoon ski and will return that evening. If you are interested in going please get a ski packet in the narthex which contains pricing and sign-up sheets. In order to attend, you must have a sign-up sheet turned in to Pastor Josh three days before the trip.

Ministry Opportunity with Sunday Supper Our ministry of serving Sunday Supper at Trinity Episcopal Church the first Sunday every fourth month is in need of your help. We need people who willing to make a dessert for the Sunday Supper. By being on the list, you aren’t committing to making one every time we serve, we will be rotating. We are also still in need of people to cook the meal for July 5 and November 1. If you are interested in either one of these ministry opportunities, please contact Amy (657-9006) or Stephanie McNeil (657-6984). Thank you!

Our Christian Sympathy
We extend our Christian sympathy to Vicky Szczepanik on the passing of her mother, Elizabeth Engberg, on December 31 in Ontonagon. Please remember Vicky and Mark and their family in prayer during this difficult time.

Prayers are also with Joyce Gebben, Sandy Rhind’s mother, on the passing of her brother, Richard Kapenga, on January 2. Please keep Joyce and her family in your prayers. At this time, Joyce is living with Sid and Sandy.
