Service of Worship
February 8, 2015

“Those of steadfast mind You keep in peace – in peace
because they trust in You. Trust in the Lord forever,
for in the Lord God you have an everlasting rock.”
Isaiah 26:3-4 (NRSV)

We are told in these verses that trust in God leads to peace.
We can be steadfast because of God’s nature and character.
He is trustworthy – He is our rock – and He grants His people peace. In worship, we praise and celebrate this God who is worthy of our trust.

Welcome to Huron Shores Fellowship!

Help is Needed
Sound Room Help – Looking for someone who has some experience/knowledge of sound equipment to help in the sound room. Does that sound like you? Contact Bruce Duncan (464-8435) for more information.

Ministry Opportunity with Sunday Supper Our ministry of serving Sunday Supper at Trinity Episcopal Church the first Sunday every other month is in need of your help. We need people who willing to make a dessert for the Sunday Supper. By being on the list, you aren’t committing to making one every time we serve – we will be rotating. We are also still in need of people to cook the meal for July 5 and November 1. If you are interested in either one of these ministry opportunities, please contact Amy (657-9006) or Stephanie McNeil (657-6984). Thank you!

College Students
It is once again that time of year when we send our college students both at home and away, a gift card to show our support as they study for finals. You can put your monetary donations in the offering labeled college gift cards. We have
17 college students and will need the donations by the first week in March. Any questions, contact Becky Sommerfield…989-657-9224.

New “Pastor of Care”
If you have a need for pastoral care, please call Kevin Englund (657-5573), who will be serving in the new role of Pastor of Care. This pastoral role encompasses personal, family and community ministry, including visitation and pastoral counseling. We hope that you will reach out if there is a need so that our church family can provide care and support.

You Don’t Have to Miss a Single Message!
Each Sunday, the Sound Room Crew records the morning service. If you have been inspired by a message and want to listen again, if you had to miss a service, or if you want to share it with someone, you can request a CD of the service by calling Judy in the church office (358-0047) or by completing the form in the Sound Booth. Recordings are made available free of charge and can be picked up from the Sound Room the following Sunday. Recent topics/series have included “The Church Under Construction,” “The God of New Beginnings,” and the present “Throwback Gospel.” We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity!
