NEW MESSAGE
It feels like summer is finally here and it doesn’t seem right to be thinking about winter clothes. However, that’s exactly what we need to do. Our 4th winter outerwear giveaway will be here before you know it. October is only a few short months away and we all know how quickly those months will fly by. Check out those garage sales for gently used coats, hats, gloves, boots and snow pants of all sizes. Donations are really down so far this year.
Looking to the future, this might be the last year for this ministry at Huron Shores. When our team first answered the call to sponsor this giveaway, we understood and agreed that this was going to be a long term commitment. It has been a blessing to all of us who have worked on the team.

Unfortunately, circumstances have changed the makeup of our team and if this ministry is going to continue after this October, it will be necessary for some new people to join the team, specifically someone to coordinate the effort. Your overwhelming support of this project goes a long way toward saying how much the ministry means to this church. The groundwork has been laid for this ministry to continue. If you want Huron Shores to continue helping those in need and feel called to serve God in this capacity, please contact Dorothy Peterson, Carol Lewis or Sharon Reed. We would be happy to answer any questions or concerns you might have about assuming this responsibility and help you decide if this is where God is leading you. We need to know soon if we will have a team for next year. If no one comes forward to lead this team, then the coat ministry will disband come October. Please give this some thought, search your heart and pray that God will lead you where He wants you to be. Thank you.
