FALL WEDNESDAY NIGHT PROGRAMMING
We are in need of staff for our Fall Wednesday Night Programming. We need teachers, workers and helpers for pre-school thru our BLAST group. We also need nursery workers so the workers can give their undivided time to share with the children. Also, looking for someone to head the Wednesday night supper program. We need you! There is a green sign-up sheet on the table in the Narthex.
SEPTEMBER CALENDAR
Please notify the church office of your September meetings and all gatherings for the September calendar. They are needed now! Thank you.
“COLLEGE STUDENTS” BOUND FOR SCHOOL
ATTENTION both ACC and “away” students! Please notify the church office of your address so we can put you on the prayer list and maybe even send an occasional note. Your church family cares!
BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENTS
We need your bulletin announcements in the office no later than Wednesday morning. The bulletin is readied on Thursday, so please plan ahead. Our weekly bulletin announcements are posted on the church webpage https://huronshoresfellowship.org/ every Thursday. In addition, special events and other updates are posted there as well. Did you remember to check the webpage? No problem! You can subscribe and you’ll receive an e-mail notice whenever new content is posted to the page (generally 1 or 2 a week). Visit the webpage and subscribe by clicking on the subscription box below and to the right of the cover photo. The monthly calendar is available on the web site and is now available on paper copy in the information basket in the narthex.

WINTER OUTERWEAR GIVEAWAY- OCTOBER 8TH
August is quickly drawing to a close; it means we must get ready. OUR SUPPLY OF ITEMS FOR THE GIVEAWAY IS DESPERATELY LOW THIS YEAR. With garage sales in full swing right now, there’s still time to check them out to find some bargains. We are looking for NEW or CLEAN GENTLY USED coats, hats, gloves, boots, and snow pants in all sizes.
In the next couple of weeks, we will be asking for your help in other ways as well. Starting today, we have flyers available for you to take and post in area business and work places. Getting the word out to those in need is an important aspect of this ministry.
We will also need help in setting up for our giveaway. Typically, we set up on the Tuesday prior to the giveaway which would be October 6th this year. It only takes a couple of hours in the morning to put coat racks up and get the coats hung.
On October 8th, we will need people to be here at church from 10:00 – 2:00 to assist those who come looking for some warm winter clothes.
Cookies to serve our guests have been a popular part of the day. So, if you can bake a dozen or two of cookies for that day, we would appreciate your help in that area.
Finally, continue to pray for our team, the coat ministry, Huron Shores Fellowship and all who come that day in need of warm winter outerwear.
Thank you.
