THURSDAY, December 24 – CHRISTMAS EVE
6:30 p.m. Come join us on Christmas Eve at 6:30 and help us celebrate the story of the birth of our Savior in a candle light service. We will have singing and special music. Join us in the fellowship room after for a short time of visitation and refreshments.

CHRISTMAS PROJECT
We are collecting items for the Women’s Shelter for Christmas. The following are what we are collecting. Other than hats and gloves that can be new or gently used, everything else must be new such as toiletries, make up, hair spray, brushes, shampoo, conditioner, etc….individually wrapped candy or candy bars for stockings, socks and underwear. There is a tub in the hallway that is labeled.

WE NEED ONE MORE PERSON
We need one more person on the Finance Team and would be expected to take a turn on counting the collection. See Peg Chatfield

PRAYER REQUESTS – “PRAYER CHAIN”
There are times when we have all needed immediate prayer for our family, loved ones and friends. Huron Shores Fellowship now has a PRAYER CHAIN to help in those circumstances. If you would like to request prayer, please contact Becky Sommerfield at 517-481-6720 and she will pass it on to the prayer chain.

OUR DAILY BREAD Devotional
There are a few copies left of the devotional OUR DAILY BREAD for December, January and February. They are available on the table in the narthex. Please leave a donation for this ministry. Thank You.

2016 OFFERING ENVELOPES
The 2016 offering envelopes are ready for you to pick up in the foyer. If you do not see a pack with your name, and would like them, please sign the available sheet on the table or call church office, 358-0047.

OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY
We extend our Christian sympathy to Tracy and Jeff Buchler on the passing of her mother, Rita Yarch, this week. Please pray for Tracy, Jeff, Dennis, and Rebecca during this time of loss.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS RESUME
Regular Wednesday night activities will resume January 6, 2016. Adult Bible Study with Pastor Jack will be starting a new series entitled “Discipleship” on that evening. Plan now to join us.

BRING YOUR CANS/BOTTLES
The Buffalo, New York Mission Team is collecting empty cans/bottles in order to raise money for the trip. Bring your cans/bottles at the Sunday School entrance. If you would like us to come to your house and pick up your empties, please call Shannon Sherwin 590-2206.

Finding Hope In Northeast Michigan (FHNEM)
A community project “Project Hope” on February 19-21, 2016
The next Community Prayer and Praise Gathering is Sunday December 13th at 6:30-8 p.m. at New Life Church – Everyone is welcome! They need many volunteers: Ushers, Prayer Warriors, Speakers, Testimonials, Greeters, etc… INTERESTED? Email Michelle Smith at: michelle@newlifealpena.org

Also, there will be the BGEA Christian Life & Witness DVD Series being shown on Sunday afternoons or evenings for 1/10/16, 1/17, 1/24 and 1/31. (more details later).

Friday, May 6, 2016 – We will have a scheduled community event being held at HSF! “4One Quartet Concert”. Look them up on the web (www.4onequartet.com) or on Facebook.

PLEASE NOTE
The Leadership Team is working hand in hand with the Sheriff’s Dept. on security for the church.
(1) We will no longer post information about our head count or offering amounts (you can get that information from Judy in the church office or see the Treasurer).
(2) Also for security, at 11 am Sunday morning, the church doors will be locked. We will have individuals available at doors to let late attendees in. (3) Weekly, when Judy is at the church alone, the doors will be locked. Please ring doorbell and/or call her in advance to let her know you are coming or are there.

Pastor Jack Williams will be available at the church on Thursdays from 12pm – 4pm in the New Year. Please call ahead to verify that he is available
