MEMEBERSHIP CLASS SCHEDULED
If you would like to become a member of Huron Shores Fellowship – or if you would like to learn more about our church – Pastor Jack will be leading this on Sunday, May 1 during the Sunday School hour, but come for coffee and fellowship at 9:00 – then at 9:30 we’ll gather for a time of sharing together about our church. We’ll talk about how to become a part of our church – and how you can find your place here at Huron Shores. This is also a great time to talk about what it means to be a Christian. (You do not have to commit to membership). If you have questions – or if you have already decided that you want to be an official part of the Huron Shores family – then help us prepare, there’s a sign-up list in the foyer.
IMPORTANT MEETING
Sunday, May 15 immediately following the morning worship, will be a short membership meeting to amend the 2016 budget .
BLESSING BACKPACKS (New Care & Outreach Project)
We are going to be filling backpacks with things the homeless can use. A lot of these items can be picked up at the dollar store. A few ideas are: gloves, thermal socks, hats, beef sticks, candy bars, crackers, toothpaste, toothbrush, wipes, deodorant, snacks, wash cloth, small towel, etc. Yes, backpacks too! Use your imagination. These items can be put in the tub in the hallway. This opportunity will commence at the end of May.
PASTORAL CARE
If you have a need for pastoral care, Pastor Jack Williams will be available at the church. Please call ahead to verify that he is available.
“PRAYER CHAIN”
Huron Shores Fellowship now has a PRAYER CHAIN. If you
would like to request prayer, please contact Cheryl Herman at 989-884-0388. If she can’t be reached call Becky Sommerfield, 517-481-6720. She will pass it on to the prayer chain.
BOTTLES AND CANS
The Buffalo, New York Mission Team is collecting empty cans/bottles in order to raise money for the trip. Bring your cans/bottles at the Sunday School entrance. If you would like us to come to your house and pick up your empties, please call Shannon Sherwin 590-2206
