Service of Worship
The Lord’s Day
October 30, 2016
“From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
the name of the Lord is to be praised.”
Psalm 113:3
The word “worship” comes from an old English word
that means “worthship.”
As we praise God, we declare that He is worthy.
This morning, as we sing, pray, give, listen, study, and respond,
we are claiming that God is worthy –
and that He deserves our complete devotion.
Today, let’s declare God’s worth!
Welcome to Huron Shores Fellowship!
We are glad that you are here.

THANK YOU
Thank you to all who supported 4 One Quartet this past Friday. They are spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ everywhere they go. Your contribution will help them do just that.
ARE YOU READY TO BE BAPTIZED?
Baptism is a crucial step of obedience for a believer and a public confession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord. If you are ready to take this important step, there is a sign up in the Foyer – or if you have questions about baptism – please talk with Pastor Jack. We will be scheduling a time of baptism in the near future.
MEMBERSHIP CLASS SCHEDULED
If you would like to become a member of Huron Shores Fellowship – or if you would like to learn more about our church – Pastor Jack will be leading a membership class on Sunday, November 20 during the Sunday School hour, but come for coffee and fellowship at 9:00 – then at 9:30 we’ll gather for a time of sharing together about our church in the Library. We’ll talk about how to become a part of our church – and how you can find your place here at Huron Shores. This is also a great time to talk about what it means to be a Christian. (You do not have to commit to membership). If you have questions – or if you have already decided that you want to be an official part of the Huron Shores family – then help us prepare, there’s a sign-up list in the foyer.
(Due Sunday November 6)
Operation Christmas Child
Samaritan’s Purse Shoe Box Ministry.
Care and Outreach Team has adopted this as their project for October. The boxes need to be at the church on Sunday, November 6th. – Useful and fun gifts for children in need in the United States and around the world. Everyone loves to receive gifts, children most of all. You can pack a box yourself, or make it a family project or get together with your friends to provide a shoe box gift. There is info in the Narthex, (including a suggestion list to help you make great selections). Look for the shoe box. Instead of a cardboard box, you can use a plastic container the size of a shoe box with a lid so whoever gets the box will also have something that lasts to keep stuff in. Each box requires $7 to ship. If you would like to provide shipping, leave your check made out to “Operation Christmas Child” in any amount at the church office or with Becky Sommerfield.
PRAYER TEAM AVAILABLE
There are ladies available to pray for your concerns. If you have a prayer request, please call Cheryl Herman (989-595-2315) or Becky Sommerfield (517-481-6720) and they will pass it on to the prayer chain.
CD’s NOW AVAILABLE
CD’s of the morning Service/Message are available. Place your order by signing the clipboard at the sound booth or call the church office. Pick up your finished CD at the Sound Booth.
