Service of Worship
The Lord’s Day
November 27, 2016

The First Sunday of Advent

Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before Him with thanksgiving
and extol Him with music and song.
(Psalm 95:1-2)
Today is a new day, a gift from the Creator’s hand.
Today we offer praise and thanks to the One who made us.
Today we worship Jesus Christ, the One who has redeemed us.
Today we honor the spirit who upholds and guides us.

THE APOSTLE’S CREED
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; on the third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting.
Amen

Thank You to all the people that had any part in our Operation Christmas Child – Shoe Box Ministry. To the ones that didn’t do a shoe box, but gave money for the shipping, thank you. Our teens did 14 boxes and the elementary class did 4. We shipped 60 boxes and there was money in all of them. Thank you for your generosity.

ARE YOU READY TO BE BAPTIZED?

If you are ready to take this important step, there is a sign up in the Foyer – or if you have questions about baptism – please talk with Pastor Jack. We will be scheduling a time of baptism in the near future.

MUSICIANS, please see Worship & Arts Team if you are willing to use your talents for our Lord. Team members are: Evelyn Avery (Chair), Donna Williams, Becky Sommerfield, Martha Hayes, Cindy Lewis, Cindy Smigelski and of course you can mention it to Pastor Jack Williams.
