We are proud of our graduates and celebrate their hard work and accomplishments and thank God for them.

Alpena High School
Chase Sherwin – Grand Valley State University in the Fall studying
Bio-medical Science

College Grads
Emily Duncan graduated in April from Adrian College – Bachelor of Arts with major in Biology and minor in Psychology. She is now attending Lincoln Memorial University’s Physician Assistant Program in Harrogate, Tennessee.

Alie Sherwin graduated from Grand Valley State University – Bachelor of Arts with double major in Business and Entrepreneurship.

Kelsey Lewis graduated in May from Dordt College, Sioux Center, Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Agri-business. She will be attending Texas
A & M in the fall to pursue a Master’s degree in Agri-business.

Erik Lewis graduated in December from Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management. He has accepted a position with the Traverse City Beach Bums baseball team.

David Julka III graduated from Alpena Community College with a degree of Applied Science, CAD/CAM, Technology Emphasis. At present, he is working in Hillman with his Dad and Grandfather.

Our Christian Sympathy on the passing of Erma Wyers, May 18 in Traverse City. Please pray for Ken and Carol Wyers and family members during this time of loss.
The memorial service will be held Saturday, June 17 at Huron Shores Fellowship. The family will greet friends starting at
10:00 a.m. and the service held at 11:00 a.m.

Strawberries! Yes, it’s time for strawberries.
A.J. and Amy MacArthur have invited our entire
church family to their farm for a strawberry social
5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17.

They live at 1150 Salina Road in Lachine. Be sure to

PROJECT FOR JUNE
The Care and Outreach Team project for June is: Sunrise Mission. The Mission needs many things:
Deodorant, razors, shaving cream, hand soap (liquid).
Queen & single sheets, pillows & pillow cases.
Towels and wash clothes,
Paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex and garbage bags. Laundry soap, fabric softener and dish soap. Feminine supplies, shampoo.
Diapers and wipes any size.
Coffee and creamer. Meat for the freezer, canned meat, beef, chicken, venison or fish (processed please).
Funds are always welcome for our general fund. Dial-a-ride money to assist our guest in getting to interviews and appointments.

OUR DAILY BREAD DEVOTIONAL
The devotional Our Daily Bread is available on the table in the Narthex for June, July and August. Please leave a donation for this ministry. Thank You.

MEMORIAL SERVICE
A memorial service for Skip Weaver will be held at the “Holly Church of the Nazarene” in Holly, Mich. June 23, at 11 a.m. A meal will be provided at “The Villager Restaurant” in Holly, all welcome. If you plan to join us, please RSVP to McWilliams Funeral Home – Alpena. Special music will be provided by Cheryl Kaye and Rick Parker. – Gloria Weaver
