Our outreach into the community—
CAMP OUT VBS–Getting S’more of Jesus
just around the corner (Aug 14-17).

Here are ways you can be involved:
• pray for children and staff to experience God-consider being a prayer buddy to an individual

•sign up to bring in snacks or craft supplies for the week of VBS -poster in narthex

•volunteer to help move furniture and finish set-up on Sunday, the 13th immediately following worship

•offer to clean-up after the Thursday (17th) closing ceremony or Saturday (19th) morning to help our regular cleaning crew

•invite children and encourage parents
to learn s’more about Jesus

If you sense God’s prompting
for any of these needs…or other ways you’d be involved,

9:00 a.m. Prayer Time in the prayer room
9:30 a.m. Sunday Bible Study for all ages
9:30 a.m. Church Membership Class Today, Pastor will conduct a Church Membership class during Sunday School hour in his office.
10:45 a.m. Morning Worship Service
Infant and Toddler nurseries are available
Junior Church (4 years through 3rd grade) Children will leave the main sanctuary after Children’s blessings

WEDNESDAY, July 26
6:00 p.m. Wednesday Family Night will be hosted by Gerry and Vivian MacArthur. Meat and beverages will be provided. Please bring a dish to pass, your own table service and your lawn chair As always there will be wonderful food and fellowship.
Following, there will be a short choir practice.
Directions:
From the church take M-32 west and go approximately 14 miles to Gamage Road. Turn left on Gamage Rd and go about 3/4 of a mile. Turn left into the Second Driveway. It is paved, lined with Maple Trees, and is quite long. 1555 Gamage Road. Trouble? Call 379-4024. WE HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE!
Rain or shine, we will meet at the MacArthur’s. They have the facilities to accommodate all of us inside if it should rain.

6:45-8:00 Sing-it-Forward Summer Choir Practice at the Church. Cool refreshments included!

FRIDAY, July 28
7:00-8:30 Safe Harbor Café, in the Fellowship Hall.
“Pickin’ for People”, Open Mike, Singers, Open mike for Musicians. All Welcome! Refreshments available by donation for “Feeding Kids Ministry and Children’s School Lunches.”

SUNDAY, July 30 Gospel Sing and Contemporary Sing begins at 7 p.m. Free Event at the Alpena County Fair Grandstand. Fun activities for kids at 6:30 p.m.
– Jack Williams and Pickin’ for People Band; Rich George and the FMC Worship Band.
-Army Staff Sergeant Cliff Prince will talk about how God gave Him courage and strength while deployed in Iraq.

One and Only V.B.S. Staff Meeting
7:00 p.m. in the Gathering Room. This will be our opportunity to catch the vision the Lord has given us, to visit the stations , and to share our concerns, praying together.
All staff, please come expecting a blessing.

Attention Ladies.…If you would like to get to know the other ladies in the church, we are starting a Ladies Social Gathering every three months. On Saturday, August 5th- 1:00 at Hunan’s Restaurant, we will have lunch together to kick it off. We will also discuss what we want to do and the different places we want to meet at this time. There is a sign up sheet in the narthex if you plan on attending. The buffet is under $9.00 for seniors and a little more for everyone else. They also have a menu you can order from.
