The Service of Worship
December 17, 2017
The Third Sunday of Advent
“If you seek Him, He will be found by you…”
I Chronicles 28:9
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”
God’s Word describes two different kinds of seeking.
First, we are encouraged to seek God.
And we are promised that our search will bear fruit –
God will allow Himself to be found!
Second, we are told that God is a seeking God –
He is looking for us with the goal of salvation in mind.
Praise God that He searches after those who are lost!
And praise God that He allows Himself to be found!
Welcome to Huron Shores Fellowship!
We are glad that you are here.

SUNRISE MISSION NEEDS WARM OUTERWEAR
Because we had warmer than usual weather this Fall, the Sunrise Mission didn’t get the usual amount of hats, gloves, scarves and warm socks. They are in dire need of these items and would like them to be NEW. There is a tub in the narthex where they can be put. Thank You! – Care and Outreach Team
CHRISTMAS HELP NEEDED
We’ve discovered that there is a family in the Alpena area that is in need of food for a Christmas meal. They have very few groceries left in their home. Could you help? There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer. And, any extras would be appreciated. Thanks, Care & Outreach Team
The Alpena Gideon’s will be providing Christmas Gift Boxes for inmates at the local county jails and would like to have you participate. If you would like to provide cookies (no frosting or decorations, and use disposable containers) please have them at New Life Christian Fellowship, 317 S. Ripley, Alpena, on Tuesday, Dec 19, Wednesday, Dec 20, or Thursday, Dec 21, between the hours of 10 am and 3 pm. Please label the containers “Gideon Cookies” and indicate the number of cookies enclosed. Thank you for your willingness to contribute! Any questions, please call or text Russ Godfrey at 989-464-5432.

May the Lord continue to give you strength, wisdom and thankful hearts. Love, Kelsey Lewis
