The Service of Worship
April 8, 2018
“This is love: not that we loved God,
but that He loved us and sent His Son
as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”
I John 4:10
Every Sunday, the people of God gather to celebrate the love of God.
He demonstrated Hs immense love by sending Jesus, His only Son. And we respond to that love through worship, thanksgiving,
and obedience.
Today, let us celebrate the love of God.
Welcome to Huron Shores Fellowship!
We are glad that you are here.

“Children of God”
From I John 3:1, 16-22; Psalm 139:23-24 (NIV)
WORSHIP LEADER: How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God.
EVERYONE: And that is what we are!
WORSHIP LEADER: Dear Friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known.
EVERYONE: But we know that when He appears,
we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
WORSHIP LEADER: Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. This is how we know what love is:
EVERYONE: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
WORSHIP LEADER: If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words, but with actions and in truth.
EVERYONE: This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in His presence whenever our hearts condemn us.
WORSHIP LEADER: For God is greater than our hearts, and He knows everything. Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from Him anything we ask, because we obey His commands and do what pleases Him.
EVERYONE: Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.
Benediction
Pastor Marlon Smith

Dear Huron Shores Fellowship Church Family,
Thank you so much for thinking of me during this time of year and for blessing me with a note of encouragement and financial gift! With graduate school being crazy as the school year nears the end, it was so refreshing to hear from my loving community in Michigan! I feel so very blessed to feel known and to feel loved by Huron Shores Fellowship. Thank you!
Take Care, Kelsey Lewis
