READERS, TAKE NOTE Saturday, September 8th Mary and Staff at Olivet Book and gift have Amazing news!!!!Beverly Lewis will be visiting Olivet Book and Gift on September 8th! Beverly was at Olivet 6 years ago and met a couple hundred people as they purchased books and had her sign them! It was great fun! We look forward to another marvelous visit! Save the date now!!!! Come grab some of her new and always amazing books and have her sign them. Bestselling Author, Beverly Lewis, will be signing her new book at 3:30 p.m. You’re Invited!
COMING – sATURDAY, sEPTEMBER 22 8:00 am We will be packing meal packages for N.I.C.E. – Feed Nicaragua. We will need 75+ people for this mission project. PLAN AHEAD! Bring friends!!! (see back of Sept. calendar)
WEDNESDAY EVENING GATHERINGS We have concluded our Wednesday evening gatherings for the summer – and we want to express our appreciation to all of our host families! Thank you for your hospitality and care throughout the summer and thank you for opening your hearts and your homes to our church family. Coming Soon: the date we will resume our regular Fall Wednesday Activities.
SONG REQUEST If you have a song you would like the congregation to sing at our morning service, please deposit a suggestion in the box available in the Narthex.
PROJECT FOR SEPTEMBER The Care and Outreach Team has selected The Chosen Ranch as the project for Sept. Items needed are men and teen boy’s socks, boxed or canned foods such as (mac & cheese, potatoes, pasta, sauces, and etc.) They are also in need of a vacuum cleaner and money donations would be much appreciated. There will be a drop box in the Narthex for your items.
PRAYER TEAM: Our Prayer Team is available to pray for your concerns. If you have a prayer request, please call Cheryl Herman (989-916-3151) or Becky Sommerfield (517-481-6720) and they will pass it on to the prayer chain.
ATTENTION LADIES Beginning Tuesday, September 25 and continuing through the month of October (2,9,17,23,30) we will be offering a 6-week fall book study at HSF from 4:00 – 5:30. The book on which we’ll be focusing is entitled The Daniel Prayer by Anne Graham Lotz and will be taught by Susie Schwartz, Vivian MacArthur, and Anna Kollien.
The cost of the book for this study is approximately $10.00, and we need to know as soon as possible if you’ll be able to attend so that we can order a book for you..
This promises to be a very good experience; you’ll learn so much about a “new and different” way of studying the scriptures, a way that perhaps you’ve never considered before.
If you’d like to join us, please tell one of the three ladies, Anna, Viv, or Susie, so that they can order a book for you. And, we look forward to hearing from you.
