The Covenant of Salt  

Pastor: Lord, thank you for the wonderful way that you build your  church.                   Thank you for the way that you call us together.

Thank    you for giving us gifts to use so that your work might be accomplished. And thank you for new friends and family members.  

Congregation and New Members:  Father, help us to be faithful. Help us to    love one another. Help us to use our gifts. Help us to walk together. 

Pastor: Lord, you have called us to be “the salt of the earth.” Help us to be salt: preserving, giving flavor, making a difference. 

Congregation and new Members:  Father, help us to be salty                              Christians – seasoning our world with your grace. Help us to be                          “worth our salt” in our community.

 

Pastor:  Lord, give us the grace and the power and the courage to live out your call together in this place.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

Our Fall Wednesday Night programming starts September 19. We will have the Wednesday Night Potluck Supper followed by Children and Youth programs, as well as an Adult study.  Plan now to bring your family and join us. 5:45 pm Potluck Dinner   6:30p.m. Children/Kids Programs

Our Daily Bread Devotional   The devotional Our Daily Bread is available on the table in the Narthex for September, October and November.  Please leave a donation for this ministry. Thank You.

ATTENTION LADIES

Beginning Tuesday, September 25 and continuing through the month of October (2,9,17,23,30) we will be offering a 6-week fall book study at HSF from 4:00 – 5:30. The book on which we’ll be focusing is entitled The Daniel Prayer by Anne Graham Lotz and will be taught by Susie Schwartz, Vivian MacArthur, and Anna Kollien.

The cost of the book for this study is approximately $10.00, and we need to know as soon as possible if you’ll be able to attend so that we can order a book for you..
