“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,

and by your will they were created and have their being.”

In worship, we respond to God’s invitation.

He calls us together for His purposes.
And we respond to His invitation by celebrating
His goodness and grace.
God is worthy to receive glory and honor and power –
and that is why we worship Him today.

Welcome to Huron Shores Fellowship!
We are glad that you are here.

again. If you would be willing to help us deep clean them, call
Becky at 517-481-6720 or call the office and let Judy know.

Winter Coat Ministry

While sorting through bags of coats donated to our Winter Coat Ministry,
I came across a book titled “Thanking God for your Servant Heart.” If this was
purposely left in the bag as a thank you to our team, then we do thank
you for your kind expression of appreciation and I will share the book with
our team members. If it was not intended to be left in the bag of coats,
please let me know and I will see that it is returned to you.
If you are still out and about going to garage sales or talking to friends and
relatives about items of clothing that could be donated, please keep in mind
that we are especially in need of children’s coats, boots and snowpants in

all sizes.

Beginning today, there are orange flyers in the narthex. If you can take
some and help in getting them posted in area business places and perhaps
your own work place, it would be greatly appreciated. This is one way of
getting the word out to the community of what our ministry is all about and
letting them know they are invited to come.
You also have the opportunity to volunteer your time the week of October 6th,
starting with the set up on Tuesday, October 7th or to be here on October 9th
to greet and help those who come and then to help clean up at the end of the day.
Again this year, we are looking for donations of cookies to be served to our guests
on that day. If you can help in any of these ways, the sign up
sheets are also in the narthex beginning today. Thank you once again for all your
support and prayers for our ministry.

We will be observing the Lord’s Supper. Also, the first Sunday of each
month is Benevolence Sunday at Huron Shores Fellowship. Maintaining
a Benevolence Fund is one way to help those who come to the church for
aid during difficult times. The call to provide for the needy is found throughout
the Bible. In Matthew 25:34–40, Jesus emphasizes the need
for benevolence in God’s name. John asks, “If anyone has material possessions
and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can
the love of God be in him?” (1 John 3:17–18).
“God loves a cheerful giver”  (2 Corinthians 9:7).
Monetary gifts dedicated to the Benevolent Fund can be made in the
form of loose bills/change or a loose check/envelope with the specific designation
of “Benevolent Fund”.

Our winter outerwear giveaway will be on October 9 this year. Unbelievably, that’s only 6+ weeks away.
We will accept clean coats, hoodies, warm sweaters, hats, gloves, scarves, boots and snow pants.   If you can help by donating any of these items, please bring them to church anytime and leave them in the area next
